Strength

Matthew 19:26

“Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (NIV)

Some days seem impossible with all the tasks we have to do before we lie down to sleep. Most of the time we are expected to be all things to all people, take care of our families, fullfill our job responsibilities and stay cool, calm and collected. At times we look in the mirror and say this is impossible for me to do and begin to fall apart a little at the time. Some of us even become ill or we crawl in the bed, cover up our heads and pretend it's all gone away.

Why don't we look to our Lord and not to ourselves. We know the flesh is weak and when we try to do our tasks in our own strenght we usually fail. Let this be our prayer for today:

"Heavenly Father, I know in my own strength life is impossible, but with You all things are possible."
