Fear

God's Little Reminders of His Love

Isaiah 41:10.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

It seems whatever I listen to, read or watch on TV, I hear, read or see news of difficult times for our economy, our world peace, and our family structure. People I know and love have been laid off from their jobs and do not see another one in the near future. Our family structure is being attacked by liberal views in government. Working in our church's food pantry today reinforced the economic hardships of our community for we see more families each month.

What is going to happen? How are we going to make it financially? These and other questions swirl through our minds and we feel helpless to find solutions. Some of our friends are facing major and minor illnesses and I am facing the challenges of taking care of an elderly parent. Where do we turn for help? What do I do now? When is it going to be better?

Questions bombard us and we almost feel as though we are drowning until we look to God's Word and remember we are the children of the Creator and our heavenly Father is looking after us and loves us with a perfect love. Even though we may have difficulty seeing Him in these troubled times, He is there, He has not left us and never will and is waiting for us to look into His eyes of love and compassion and know without a doubt that our Abba, Father is our strength. We don't have to do it alone for He is there.

Isaiah wrote it with God's inspiration and we are going to pray it, so join with me in this prayer:

Father, I do not fear, for You are with me; I am not dismayed, for you are my God. I know you will strengthen me and help me; You will uphold me with your righteous right hand.
In the precious Name of Jesus, Your son
Amen and amen
