Seeking God

Jermiah 29:13
"You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart."

Sometimes it seems that God has gone away and we can't find Him. There is a silence in our hearts that roars and drowns out our peace and joy we have when God is near. Where are you, our heart shouts. I need you and You are not here.

Like a child who has thinks he has lost his parents in a big crowd, we His children get lost in the crowded world and wander around wondering where is our Father God. Like our human parents He is watching us all this time waiting for us to realize we are lost without Him. All we need to do is turn, seek Him with all our hearts and He is there to be found.

You see, God has not gone anywhere but was watching and waiting for us to realize we can't live in this world without Him to fill the silence in our hearts with His songs of joy and peace. How do we seek Him? We recognize our need, turn to His Word, and talk to Him in prayer. A former pastor and good friend said there are three thing we should do each day - read God's Words, pray about them and ponder them in our heart. Seek and you will find is His promise and He always keeps His promises found in His Word.
